Every turn players may move a fixed distance of 4 tiles (this can be modified by character abilities or cards like Blitzkreig). Characters can move to adjacent tiles in the cardinal directions at a cost of 1, while diagonals cost √2 (roughly 1.41). Some tiles and tile objects (such as Marsh, Reeds, Bushes) also have an additional movement cost.
Players may decide to forgo their turn's combat action and instead move a second time. When sprinting, the distance a player may move is determined by a D6 roll (this value can also be modified by abilities and cards).
